Having "Laggy"* TaskBar animation in Windows 10, per this description: https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp/comments/1lmd3vu/windows_taskbar_laggy_and_annoying/
Fix it by doing what they recommend, which is stopping this Service: Windows Push Notifications User Service_WhatEverUniqueSetOfCharacters ( WpnUserService )
Oops, just broke all of the "PopUp Balloons", err "Toast Notifications" in Windows, didn't you?
Well as annoying as they are, some (a very few), are actually useful (Snippet Tool for instance)
What to do?
Solution
- Delete this Folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Notifications\
- Delete this Registry Key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notifications\Settings
- ...and this key too: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PushNotifications
- Reboot
.should be good to go..
*"Laggy"= The animation of the 'flyout' (extension / expansion) motion of the Task Bar is slow and hitches, meaning it seems to skip frames and appear 'notchy' during the animation.
